I am planning to go see Fall Foliage in Arkansas. I stay in Dallas do not want long travel time . looking for max 5 hrs. Hot Springs or Mena ( I found these places from search results) are two places which seems interesting.
A) What I am looking for is information on which Place you think is worth going to
B) Economical but beautiful B&B place to stay ( less than $125 per night)
C) I am learning Photography ( putting My Canon 40D to use) so which are scenic places.
D) Peak Coloring time
Planning to go Friday evening and return on Sunday

Another week or two might do the trick…..Fall colors aren’t there yet…..still changing from what I hear…..going for the shots……Mena would be better….Check out the newly built ….Willamina hotel On top of mountain…..Check web sites……puts you in the clouds….sort of speak…..about 125.00 or more….Other Cabins brand new…….Look on Mena, Arkansas web page…..Bever lake has cabins…..in Mena..check web pages….Should give you an ideal….Small City closes up by…8 pm…..This might not matter to you….just thought I would let you know…Not mentioned on the web sites
Hot springs….about same…..You can hit both places if you time it right…..Go through mena……Ask locals which way to Pencil Bluff,,,,This HWY takes you to Hot Springs, Ark……..City stays open…….Check local news websites….Channel 11 Katv…I think…They keep a Fall watch on the trees changing colors………
