My wife and I will be traveling through Arkansas in June of 09. I wanted to know which of the quarts crystal mines in the Hot Springs, Mt Ida area would be the best to go to.
Should be quartz not quarts. Don’t need and more jars.

Coleman’s and Wegner’s are good. Coleman’s is best if you time is limited. Go on a Friday, they bring up extra material in the afternoon because their crew is off on Saturdays.
Some of the mines have closed recently due to reduced tourism, but will probably reopen in the summer.
