My husband and I have decided to take a quick little get away this weekend for our 6th anniversary to Hot Springs. We’ve never been there before. I’m trying to look for us a place to stay. Has anyone ever stayed at the Arlington Hotel? It looks alright but I have read so many negative things about it! Do you know anything about it? Or can you suggest a nice/decent place that you have stayed in Hot Springs? Thanks to all!

I have stayed at the Arlington… it is a clean hotel but is very old.
The rooms are small and most rooms only have a shower in a small bathroom. Very small.. only for one person. They do have rockers out front to enjoy if it is not dreadfully hot like it has been.
They have a real nice white table cloth restaurant. and then a smaller grill too. They have a gift shop, and also can schedule massages in the hotel… very nice!
I really will suggest The Austin Hotel. It is near the train depot, not far from the mall, and easily to walk to see the shops.
Be sure to take a picnic lunch and head to Gulpha Gorge… nice, shady place, stream that runs alone to park and you can wade in the water… it is so refreshing cool. Just besure to have your water shoes on the rock can be sharp.
