How to get rid of a cold fast?

Im 15 and just got sick last night and Friday night I am going on a vacation to Hot Springs, Arkansas and a Water Park but my parents said if I don’t get better soon we cant go. Its our first family vacation and I don’t want to miss this.

How can I get rid of a 101.4 fever, the sniffles, stomach ache, and soar throat in 2 days?
We don’t have any medicine at out house other than benodryl so I need home remedies.

Drink A LOT of orange juice and eat lot’s of oranges. If you don’t have any eat and drink things with vitamin C in it. When I get a cold I always drink orange juice and a glass of water in between each other. Good Luck and Have fun on your vacation!

  2. A cold does not typically cause this type of fever. You may have flu or strep throat. Drink a lot of fluids including orange juice. If it is strep however, you will need an antibiotic.

    Stay in bed.

For your fever, get a damp cool washcloth and rest it on your forehead.

For the sniffles, Kleenex with aloe vera is softer and better for your nose than the regular kind.

For the stomach ache, eat some warm comfort food.. people say ginger and ginger ale does the trick.

And for the sore throat, I always drink Traditional Medicinals Organic Lemon Echinacea Throat Coat tea (it’s really good.. when you first sip it, it tastes like normal herbal tea but quickly turns into a sweet honey taste in your mouth)..

Anyway, I would have a parent or someone go out and get some of these for you..

    Hope this helps!! :)
