I recently had a massage at a hotel spa in Hot Springs AR. After the massage which involved their own special formula massage lotion they followed up with some sort of cooling alcohol base oil/lotion that had a pleasant smokey aroma to it. Any ideas what it may have been?
A little more specific…. Is there a name for this kind of lotion that they use at the end of the massage? What purpose does it serve?
They sell the massage lotion. I have that. This was the first time that they used this other stuff which they do not sell.
Victoria’s secret has really good massage oils.

Maybe it was myrrh, or mentha, or sandalwood

Call the Spa & tell them this. Ask also if they sell the lotion.

A likely (natural) smoky scent would be Vetiver. Just a few drops in a tablespoon of carrier oil/massage oil is very nice and subtle… especially when you’re winding down for the day.
