  1. the left turning vehicle is at fault….crossing the path of an on-coming vehicle that has the right continue forward on a straightaway road…..that is if the on-coming vehicle didn’t have a stop sign?

  2. Its the one on the left. People on the right always turn first. My dad just told me this last week.

  3. The turner. The person moving forward had the right of way.

  4. Failure to yield to on coming traffic should be the charge for turning left in front of the oncoming vehicle.

  5. sounds like the person turning left, UNLESS he had a left turn arrow. You didn’t give enough facts for anyone to give you a real answer on this question.

  6. The auto turning left that has the green arrow at the light would not be at fault. If the light is solid green, the left turner has to yield, regardless. If the left turner does not yield and gets hit, he would be at fault.

Most states consider accicents at intersections to be No Fault. That means that both drivers are at fault for the accident. In this case it would make sense since the driver who is driving foward drove into an accident he may have been able to avoid even though the other car did pull out in front of him. Then there’s the matter of He said She said. Who are the authorities to believe? No fault saves you alot of time and money because otherwise your insurance companies will be battling for a long time before anything can or will be done.

  10. well the left turning vehicle would be at fault. You cannot make a left turn into oncoming traffic. A person making a turn into oncoming traffic must stop, and wait for the oncoming traffic to clear. If this were not the rule, you would have drivers turning in front of oncoming traffic and how is the through traffic suppose toThat would never work! know when some driver is going to turn right in front of them.

  13. In general the left turning one is at fault… unless at an intersection and he has a green arrow allowing him to go. The other would be running a red lite.

  14. If this was not at an intersection, it would be the vehicle turning left for failure to yield – the oncoming vehicle always has the right of way.
