Mother duck in Danger?!? Please help her and her two eggs! :(?

well, i live right on the lake in hot springs, Arkansas. There’s many ducks that come to our docks for bread. Being the animal lover I am, i feed them whatever bread I have.
So the mom duck has two eggs, but she keeps them on my boat slip. instead of sitting o the eggs, she sits both in front of her and just watches them. Shes a very friendly duck, she even waddles right up to my feet. Its been pouring down rain lately, and im not sure how this will effect the eggs. I have dealt with birds all my life, having a parrot of age 19 right now. Anyway, Im not sure about ducks. I would move the eggs under the boardwalk put for one thing, im not sure how to handle eggs. secondly, i believe she is picked on by the other ducks so thats why shes on the dock. PLEASE HELP!

Can i have some help with a report about Hot springs national park in Arkansas, or just some general info?

Im doing a report on Hot springs national park in arkansas, and i was wondering, what are some ways it helps protect the ecosystem and animal community. The park is surrounded by a city, so i have that it keeps the city from developing the land, but what else? It protects the springs, but i dont know exactly what it does to protect the wildlife and stuff. You dont have to know much about Hot springs national park, but do you have info on how other national parks protect stuff? Thank you for any answers. And for any cat lovers out there, HURRAY!!!

Black Panther’s in Arkansas?

On June 26,2009 I drove over to Hot Springs via Hwy7, on the way back around 5:45 pm I was driving down a stretch of road 12 miles north of Jessieville and a huge animal crossed the road in front of me. I was about 300 yds from it and at first I thought it appeared to be a bear but as I came closer it was was way to long and slender to be a bear. I am 5’8″ and it stood almost to my waist high. It was black in color and not brown. There was also a SUV behind me and they saw the same thing. So if it wasn’t a bear then what could it be? I have read several articles that says black panthers don’t exist in North America.
I’ve already got several responses… It was not a dog nor a house cat and yes at first site was bout .1 to .15 tenths of a mile from me but I got a lot closer before it had crossed the road and that’s when I realized it was not a bear… I know for a fact it was a Panther but why does everyone say there is none in Arkansas. I’m not an idiot to the outdoors. Just wanted input…my grandfather was an old wise man and had seen one many yrs ago in Johnson county, Clarksville to be exact.
Oops looked at calendar wrong, was June 19th… to error is human.
FYI :The Mountain Lion is known by several other names: cougar, puma, catamount, and panther.

If a pit bull is picked up in Hot Springs Arkansas by animal control, what happens to that animal on that day? The dog had a collar, but no tags. The dog was friendly, but I have had people tell me that they would euthanize it as soon as they got it to the shelter. I’m an animal lover and cannot stand the thought of them putting the dog to sleep.
