Hot Springs Arkansas Or Bevers Bend Oaklahoma?
Me and My Fiance are going away for a weekend and we are trying to go somewhere romantic and exciting we have never been to neither place but we were wondering which place would be the best? Thanks for the advice.

Honeymoon help?
My fiance and I are getting married in November. Our income isn’t a fortune and can’t afford a lot of vacation for the honeymoon. The wedding is on a Saturday and we have taken that Mon off. We live in OKC, Oklahoma. We are considering driving to Hot Springs, AR, Tulsa, OK, or Dallas, TX for a brief escape from life rather than a traditional honeymoon. Anyone able to recommend things to do, see, or places to stay in any of those places?
We will drive after the wedding on Sat and stay till Monday evening.
Does anyone have any suggestions of where to go (like bed and breakfasts) that is close to OKC that would be great for a wedding escape?
Just for reference Dallas and Tulsa are both 2 to 2.5 hours from OKC. Hot Springs is 5.5 hours away. We’ll be leaving the reception at around 5pm – ish. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. We want to be able to make it to the place that Saturday so we can enjoy our two days fully. No one night stops in between.
Please remember this is in November. The theme parks will be closed and camping is pretty much out of the question due to weather. We will eventually take a proper honeymoon. We are thinking sometime around May when vacation is more readily available at our jobs (Our wedding is on Thanksgiving weekend so neither of us have much of an option about how much vacation our companies are willing to grant us) We aren’t taking our honeymoon, we are taking a break from OKC. Someplace quick, refreshing, and different.
How bad is Baytown, Texas after Hurricane Ike?
My fiance is down in Baytown and I havent really heard from him because of the cell towers going in and out. Does anyone live there? and could you tell me how bad Baytown is? Im very worried. And Im trying to prepare for the Hurricane myself. I live in Hot Springs, Arkansas. And its about to hit. Please just let me know how bad it is….
Yes fiance’s house is on the bay too. But he left to his moms house yesterday away from the water. i heard from him early this morning that a tree fell on the kitchen or something but he is in and out of cell service…i just want to make sure everything is ok there
