What colleges and majors would be best for me?

Soooo, I’m only in the 8th grade, but yes I am already considering college plans. I’ve always been a straight-A student, my GPA is about 3.8. I live in Arkansas, so I plan on attending the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts in Hot Springs. It’s a residential high school for academically advanced juniors and seniors. There are only 9 or so schools of its type in the U.S. Students there get LOADS of scholarships. I’m going to need a scholarship if I want to go to a good college. I’m in the middle-class region..I’m not poor, but I’m not rich. So I’ll want to look for a college that gives good financial aid.
I’m most interested in art. Music, mainly. Of the visual arts, I like photography and pencil drawing the most(I’m not the best painter). I am learning French and plan to take German classes at ASMSA. I want to major in fine arts, preferably music(theory of, physics of, sciences of). I’m also a pretty good writer. I read a lot, I write a lot. Literature and creative writing will be something I’ll be interested in majoring in. I’m not very good at poetry but would like to become a music journalist after college. For AP magazine or Fuse TV or something. I play the guitar, have been for four years and don’t plan on stopping. I’m learning the keyboard, too. Music is my passion.
Also, I’d like to minor in psychology and philosophy. I’m a very deep thinker and I have a serious interest in the human mind.(Not to the point where I’ll become a psychologist, though.) I believe that if I continue writing, psychology and philosophy will help that too. In addition to the fact they’re just interesting:)
Colleges I’m considering right now are U of Cal at Berkeley, Duke University, Brown, and University of South Carolina.
I don’t want to go to an Arkansas school. I want to get as far away from here as possible. After I graduate college, I want to live in Berkeley California, Charleston South Carolina, or quite possibly moving out of the country, to live in southern England, or Ireland, or Holland. So, does anyone have any suggestions about those schools, their financial aid, or any other schools that have good fine and language art departments? Thank you for reading my boring question(:

To apply, or not to apply?

For a while now I have been considering applying for a spot at the ASMSA (Arkansas School For Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts).
It’s a two year, residential public high school for advanced juniors and seniors interested in fields concerning Mathematics, science, and the like. It’s located in Hot Springs Arkansas.
Look around the site for a minute if you like.

Now, I’m the top of my class. Of like 40 people. At a verrrry small school. With like 250 people. Which doesn’t make me sound that smart. But I digress.
ASMSA is a REALLY good school with classes that I have never heard of. No, really. People interested in going apply their sophmore year (which I’m in right now). During the early application phase that I plan on taking part in, applicants get to spend the night in the dorms and attend a few of the classes they’re interested in, after which they are interviewed.
If I was to apply and actually get accepted (Not everyone does…I know someone that didn’t get to go), then I would leave behind friends who I have had as long as I can remember, my spot for val. at my school’s graduation, and my chances to be a completer in the few subject areas that we have at our tiny school. However, I will be able to take part in my school’s graduation and prom as long as they don’t fall on the date of a required ASMSA activity, and I can still be an honor student if ASMSA sends my school a letter. What do you think…Better to be a big person at a small school, or just another person at a big school?
If I go to ASMSA, I’ll have better classes. And become more social. But I’ll leave behind my family, who I’ll see just on the weekends. I’ll be 2 hours away from everyone I know. :[
I don’t know if I’m smart enough. I have a 4.0 and a 27 on my ACT, which is information that has to be turned in the application.

What do you all think I should do?
