How can water become crystallized?

Okay, so I bought a half gallon of Hot Springs Thermal / mineral water probably 15 years ago from Hot Springs, Arkansas. I have had it sitting in a cupboard since I bought it, I came across it today and there are crystals inside it! What happens to make it do this? Would it be safe to drink still? I’m looking for a science geek because I know that SOMEONE should know the answer lol… it amazes me, it’s really beautiful floating around in the water. They almost look like diamonds in the sunlight… anyway, if you have any clue let me know!
Yeah, it’s contained in a glass jar and vacuum sealed, so it’s unlikely that anything has gotten into it either way. I was going to throw it out, but as interesting as it is, I think I’ll hang on to it and check back in a few years lol!

Where would be a good area to visit for 2 days in missouri or arkansas?

My daughter and I are wanting to take a relaxing trip today to somewhere not too far from eastern oklahoma (where we live). Is there an area that has alot of small shops, bed and breakfast and maybe a dinner/theater. I wanted to go see a play “Steel Magnolia’s” in Seary, Arkansas and visit some hot springs but the hot springs are 2 hours away from the dinner/play.

QURAN(632AD) AND SCIENCE(TODAY)?

BY Dr. Maurice Bucaille

Conquest of Space

Among the achievements of modern science is the “conquest” of space which has resulted in mans journey to the moon. The prediction of this event surely springs to mind when we read the chapter ar-Rahmaan in the Qur’an:

“O assembly of Jinns and men, if you can penetrate the regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate them! You will not penetrate them except with authority.”

Qur’an,55:33

Authority to travel in space can only come from the Creator of the laws which govern movement and space. The whole of this Qur’anic chapter invites humankind to recognize God’s beneficence.

Mountains

In geology, modern science has recently discovered the phenomenon of folding which formed the mountain ranges. The earth’s crust is like a solid shell, while the deeper layers are hot and fluid, and thus inhospitable to any form of life. It has also been discovered that the stability of mountains is linked to the phenomenon of folding. The process of mountain formation by folding drove the earth’s crust down into the lower layers and provided foundations for the mountains.

Let us now compare modern ideas with one verse among many in the Qur’an that deals with this subject. It is taken from chapter an-Naba’:

“Have We not made the earth an expanse and the mountains stakes?”

Qur’an, 78:6-7

Stakes ( awtaad ), which are driven into the ground like those used to anchor a tent, are the deep foundations of geological folds.

Here, as in the case of all the other topics presented, the objective observer cannot fail to notice the absence of any contradiction to modern knowledge.

There was a song on 105.9 hot springs, AR at about 9:30AM today and I can’t remember anything about it!?

It had a woman that sounded a lot like M.I.A. and a couple of guys. Kind of rap hip-hopish with a slower beat to it. Please help me!! :-)

Why does Arkansas get such a bad rep? What did it ever do?

I don’t live there, but I live in Kentucky. I’ve been to AR three times and, I’ll admit, the state didn’t overly impress me. But, two times I just drove through but stopped at a hotel and the occasional convenience store. East of Little Rock is very boring with the Mississippi Delta lands, but west of L.R. is actually quite pretty, with the piney woods and gently rolling hills. Many of today’s millionaires (some of which are actually self-made) live there; one of the most famous national parks, Hot Springs, is there; one of the top 25 fastest-growing metro areas in the country is Northwest Arkansas; Governor Huckabee’s office has undertaken an aggressive TV campaign to promote economic development, some of the commercials of which have been seen on Fox News.

To Arkansans: What is great about your state, and what you like or dislike about it? I don’t want to have a “full opinion” about AR until I visit more, see more attractions, and get to know more people from there. Thanks!
