We took it really easy on this trip, mostly staying in 3 rd or 4 th gear. The first day of travel from Carthage , MO to a little outside of Hot Springs took about 12 hours including the time we stopped for rain. But the long journey was worth it; the roads both down and back from Hot Springs provided many opportunities to pull off and take pictures.
